Another trip in the bus. This time to the side by side 1/2 mile races.
Loaded up the XLR-V and road tripped up to Rantoul, IL for the NoFlyZoneMidwest event.
Parked it on the taxiway and set up camp.
First thing PJ wants is a cup of coffee so I hit the starter on the generator and it cranks and cranks but no fire.( Found out couple hours later it got wet in the rain on the drive up and had to dry out). So the Pizza vender next to us let us plug into his generator and we had our coffee.
No open racing slots available on Sunday so we setup the garage section as a porch and put our displays on the car.
PJ was a real trooper, she answered questions about the car and the bus, even gave a few tours of our rig.
We spent two nites in the rig and it was amazingly comfortable. The couch is a jack-knife bed, the dinette converts to another bed, the bathroom is small but functional, the A/C works great from the generator or the RV park electricity.
And believe it or not, we cruised home averaging 62MPH and that was with two stops.
